Today's surprise...

YAY! Thanks to a link on PageMaps’ blog a while back, I participated in a layout call.
Today I received a FedEx packet with my own copy of THE BIG BOOK OF SCRAPBOOK PAGES including over 250 pages of pleasure AND featuring my layout! Now how exciting is that?!

My entry:

As you can see I flipped the sketch and made it into an A4 page.

This is not my comfort zone color wise, but I'm happy I made the effort not to use a lot of neutral colours as I think it makes a great cheerful page for a fifth birthday.
The bracket and flags are home made, it was a long process but I'm happy I took the time :-) All other shapes are die cuts. The stamp is from Imaginisce, the white alpha from Kaiser Craft.
